Who We Are

Once Off Productions is an independent producing platform established in 2006 by Maura O’Keeffe to provide creative and flexible producing supports for independent performing artists.

Currently funded under a new Creative Production Services pilot scheme by the Arts Council of Ireland, Once Off is led by a small team of experienced cultural sector professionals.

Once Off enables some of the most brilliant and exciting artists based in Ireland today to develop, create and present new work for us all.

Our Team

Director Maura O’Keeffe has a long and far-reaching career enabling independent artists to make ambitious, innovative and collaborative art. She works nationally and internationally at all scales and is committed to live art and bringing performances to audiences in traditional and non-traditional locations.

Senior Producer Orla Flanagan has twenty three years of arts management, producing and programming experience in live performance. Prior to joining Once Off in January 2023, Orla was Director of glór, a thriving 500 seat theatre and arts centre in Ennis for over six years. Prior to this she worked in the UK for five years as Theatre Producer at Brighton Dome & Brighton Festival and was also General Manager at the Gate Theatre, London. Orla was Producer & General Manager at Fishamble: The New Play Company from 2005-2010 and was Literary Officer at the Abbey Theatre from 2001. Orla participated in the Arts Management Fellowship programme at the John F. Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. as a Fulbright Scholar in 2007-08.

Finance Officer Catherine Finn is responsible for the day to day financial operations of Once Off Productions. Before joining Once Off, Catherine worked with numerous leading Irish theatre and dance companies, including Dance Ireland, the Gate Theatre, Teac Damsa & Fabulous Beast, Landmark Productions, United Fall, and continues to retain some freelance contracts.

Associate Producer Cally Shine has worked across the United States as an actor, teaching artist, company manager and creative producer. She holds a BA in Theatre and a Minor in Irish Studies from the University of Montana and has recently completed a Graduate Diploma in Cultural Policy and Arts Management from UCD. With Once Off, Cally line produced Rescue Annie by Eoghan Carrick and Lauren Shannon Jones (Dublin Fringe Festival, 2021), The Performance Corporation’s Emperor 101 (Dublin Theatre Festival 2021), Looking For América by Federico Julián González and Janet Moran (Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2021, and Irish Tour, 2022). Cally is also an Associate Producer with Fishamble: The New Play Company, with whom she line produced Duck Duck Goose by Caitríona Daly (Dublin Theatre Festival and Irish Tour 2021), The Treaty by Colin Murphy (internatioinal Tour, 2021), and Outrage by Deirdre Kinahan (Irish Tour 2022).

Associate Producer Sadhbh Barrett Coakley is a freelance producer and stage manager. She holds a BA in Theatre and Drama Studies from MTU Cork School of Music. She completed Smock Alley’s Creative Producers programme GENERATOR 2016/2017 and has an MA in Arts Management and Creative Producing from UCC. Sadhbh is co-artistic director of ALSA Productions. ALSA Productions were artists  in residence in MTU Cork School of Music (2017-2019) and Artists in Residence in Corcadorca’s Theatre Development Centre (2018 - 2020).

Company Manager Morgan Steele is a theatre administrator and producer originally from Los Angeles, California. She has worked internationally on both nonprofit and commercial productions within the US, Ireland, UK, and Canada. Notable work in North America includes the pre-Broadway tour of Ain’t Too Proud (2018) and serving as the Company Manager on multiple shows at Berkeley Repertory Theatre. Ireland and UK projects include Once (Landmark Productions, 2017) and Medicine by Enda Walsh (Galway International Arts Festival and Edinburgh International Festival, 2021), Book of Names by Louise Lowe (Dublin Theatre Festival, 2021) and Daughter of God by Roderick Ford (Once Off and Asylum Productions, 2023). Morgan has also worked in the television industry as an Associate Producer for Disney Channel Media Relations. She holds a B.A. in Theatre and Performance Studies from UC Berkeley and a M.Sc. in Business Management from Trinity College Dublin.

Assistant Producer Sinéad Gallagher is a creative producer based in Cork. She has recently graduated with an MA in Arts Management and Creative Producing from UCC. She is a firm believer in the regenerative power of creative expression and hopes that through her work as a creator and facilitator, she can engage others in their creativity. Sinéad launched the theatre company Philomena P in 2022 with her colleague Sadhbh Malin and they premiered their debut production 'in heat' at this year's Dublin Fringe Festival for a sold out run. Since then, she has worked with Graffiti Theatre Company on various projects including a county-wide tour of the multilingual play for young audiences 'An Sean Duine Og'. She just completed working on the 5-star run of Siofra O Meara’s play ‘Blister’ at the Project Arts Centre.

Assistant Producer Iain Synnott works as a multidisciplinary theatre technician ranging from lighting and sound to stage management and producing. Having graduated from The Lir Academy in 2023, Iain has worked both nationally and internationally on various productions and events. Iain’s recent work includes; Assistant Venue Stage Manager for Perth Fringe Festival 2023, Stage manager for Suzy Storck directed by Ursula McGinn and Assistant Stage Manager for Dan Colley’s national tour of Lost Lear. Iain also stage manages Pat Kinevane’s one-man performances for Fishamble New Play company including his new piece KING. Iain has also worked as Stage Manager and Associate Producer for Téac Damsa’s How to be a Dancer in Seventy-Two Thousand Easy Lessons as well as working internationally on Téac Damsa’s MÁM & Loch Na hÉala as an Assistant Stage Manager.

Producing Consultant Sara Cregan joined Once Off in 2020 and supports the research, development and presentation of all projects for Once Off. Prior to joining Once Off, Sara was Associate Producer with Landmark Productions for almost a decade. She is also Producer with Rough Magic, one of Ireland’s leading independent theatre companies. She has worked across a vast range of productions spanning every possible context including festivals, venues of all sizes and even theatre for one.

Marketing Consultant Annette Nugent specialises in the Irish cultural sector, working with artists and organisations to amplify their impact through marketing, audience development and public engagement activity. She has experience in project-managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders and regularly contributes to arts marketing / communications training programmes.

PR Consultant Jenny Sharif has worked in communications for the arts, entertainment and lifestyle sectors for almost two decades. She has developed and managed communications strategies and campaigns for a wide range of clients from individual artists, theatre makers and musicians, to touring theatre shows, large scale productions and red carpet events carpets, as well as directing media campaigns for large scale multi-disciplinary arts and international film festivals.
