CATHAL CLEARY

Cathal is an award-winning theatre director who has worked extensively in Ireland and the UK. He has directed for Druid, the Abbey, Dublin Theatre Festival in Ireland. In London he was selected as the 2011 JMK Director's Award Winner for his production of Enda Walsh's Disco Pigs (Young Vic). He was the Donmar Warehouse Trainee Artistic Director from 2014 - 2016. Productions and plays he has directed have won an Irish Times Irish Theatre Award, Dublin Fringe Awards, The Vaults Innovation Award, the House Theatre Re-Commission Award, two Stewart Parker Awards and the Papatango New Writing Prize.

As an assistant director Cathal has worked at the National Theatre London, Old Vic, Young Vic, Lyric Hammersmith and the Michael Grandage Company (West End). He is also Artistic Director of Mommo Theatre a company he started in 2017.
